At Charley’s Philly Steaks on West Market Street, the most popular sandwiches are the Philly Cheesesteak and Teryaki Chicken, according to Jonathan Barlog, a shift leader at the restaurant.
However, employees choose to indulge with “The Barlog,” an original sandwich created by Barlog when “business was slow.”
The Barlog consists of grilled steak, ham and bacon and is topped with extra mayonnaise.
The sandwich remains the only item on the secret menu for the time being, but team members at the restaurant begin to create their own special sub to compete with Barlog’s creation.
Customers can stop by Charley’s Philly Steaks Monday through Saturday anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. to give the single-secret-menu-item sub a try.
